Further to our previous post, we would like to inform you that on 20 December 2019 Mr. Jan Jobs, Partner of the Jobs Skowrońska Samsel law firm, was sworn in by the Speaker of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) as the judge of the State Tribunal of the Republic of Poland. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the First President of the Polish Supreme Court, Deputy Speaker of the Polish Senate and Members of Parliament.
Mr. Jan Jobs, who heads our firm’s white collar crime and compliance practice, will continue to perform his professional duties as an attorney-at-law and the judicial appointment does not affect client relationships or other professional obligations.

We have the pleasure to announce that on 21 November 2019 the Polish Parliament has appointed Mr. Jan Jobs, Partner of the Jobs Skowrońska Samsel law firm, to the post of the Judge of the State Tribunal of the Republic of Poland. The State Tribunal is a judicial body, which rules on the constitutional and criminal liability of the most senior public officials, including the President of the Republic of Poland, Members of the Council of Ministers and President of the National Bank of Poland. Judges of the State Tribunal are appointed for the 4-year term of the Parliament from among the leading legal practitioners and scholars recommended by various parliamentary factions. Mr. Jan Jobs, who heads our firm’s white collar crime and compliance practice, will continue to perform his professional duties as an attorney-at-law and the judicial appointment does not affect client relationships or other professional obligations.
